Sharjah airport in 1937 and Dubai airport today

The video clip that we watched about Sharjah airport was filmed in 1937; it was an interesting video and it had lot of information. In the beinning of the video we saw British workers, Indians and Arabs working in the airport. The video showed us a lot of things like people used to travel on donkeys around the country. In those days there were 15,000 people who lived in Sharjah but with the time the population increased .We also saw footage of the oyster beds, source of the world-famous Gulf pearls. In that time pearl fishing was the most popular thing in the Gulf countries. The airport was built in the shape of a fort and it was operated / supervised by British personnel. The aeroplane that we saw was made amazingly safe and it was made by an English company called Handley Page. It used to take 4-days to come from England to Sharjah airport. It used to take cargoes of pearls to India. We also see a weather balloon being released from the airport roof so they can know if the wind is strong or normal.

The second video was a flash mob in Dubai airport; it was an amazing idea to do it. This video shows us the difference between the two airports; you could see a lot of people from different countries dancing together and happy.
